LG Phillips LCD is the global leader in the development and manufacturing of TFT-LCD panels for electronics. The company faced the challenge of having too much overtime payroll, averaging 10.6 days per month.
The company partnered with FranklinCovey to develop a custom training program to increase employee productivity during normal working hours with the ultimate goal of decreasing overtime hours. The custom solution included a session for execution, and a Community of Practice to help employees share goals, plans and after-action review. Two months after implementation, the average number of overtime work days decreased from 10.6 days to 8.4.
